高中英语教材中华文化呈现方式特征研究
An Analysis of the Presentation Characteristics of Chinese Culture in Senior High School English Textbooks
摘要: 在跨文化交际视角下,通过对2019版整套人教版高中英语教材中华文化元素呈现方式进行系统考察,发现教材以直述式为主,注重对中华文化元素的深度阐释;注重图文结合,而视频、音频等多模态资源相对不足,潜在影响文化形象的立体化生动表达;隐性融入相对缺失,可能不利于学生文化意识培养与能力转化。基于此,分别从教材编写、教师教学、学生学习三方面提出对策建议,以期助力“坚定青少年文化自信,对外讲好中国故事”的育人目标。
Abstract: From the perspective of intercultural communication based on Byram’s model, the study investigates the current presentation characteristics of Chinese cultural elements in the complete set of 2019 edition of PEP senior high school English textbooks. The finding indicates that the textbooks mainly adopt a direct narrative approach and emphasize in-depth interpretation of Chinese cultural elements; the presentation of elements focuses on the combination of images and texts, while multimodal resources such as videos and audios are relatively insufficient, potentially affecting the three-dimensional and vivid representation of cultural images; the implicit integration is relatively lacking, which may hinder the cultivation of students’ cultural awareness and the transformation of their communicative competence. Accordingly, countermeasures and suggestions are proposed from the perspectives of textbook compilation, teacher instruction, and student learning, aiming to support the educational goal of “strengthening teenagers’ cultural confidence and telling China’s stories well to the world”.
