多模态话语分析视角下外宣纪录片翻译研究——以《话说中国节》为例

A Study on the Translation of International Communication Documentaries from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis—A Case Study of Festival China

摘要: 近年来，中国外宣纪录片在世界备受欢迎，是传播中国文化的重要文化载体。本文基于模态话语分析理论，以《话说中国节》为例，从每集纪录片中选取有代表性的镜头与文本，对外宣微纪录片的字幕翻译问进行多模态话语分析，探究纪录片字幕中语言、图像、声音等不同模态之间的动态互动和意义共构过程，如何有效传递中国传统节日与节气文化的内涵。合理运用多模态话语分析能够有效提升字幕翻译的文化适配性和观众理解度，促进跨文化交流和理解。本文旨在为外宣纪录片翻译实践提供理论参照与方法支持，助力“中国文化走出去”战略下讲好中国故事、传播中国声音。

Abstract: In recent years, Chinese international communication documentaries have gained worldwide popularity and serve as important cultural vehicles for disseminating Chinese culture. Based on multimodal discourse analysis theory, this paper takes Festival China as a case study, selecting representative shots and texts from each episode to conduct a multimodal discourse analysis of subtitle translation in international communication micro-documentaries. It explores the dynamic interaction and meaning co-construction process among different modalities such as language, image, and sound in documentary subtitles, and examines how these modalities effectively convey the connotations of traditional Chinese festivals and solar terms. The proper application of multimodal discourse analysis can effectively enhance the cultural adaptability and audience comprehension of subtitle translation, thereby promoting cross-cultural communication and understanding. This paper aims to provide theoretical reference and methodological support for the translation practice of international communication documentaries, contributing to telling Chinese stories and spreading Chinese voices under the strategy of “Chinese culture going global.”
