Abstract: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease, and low exercise adherence among patients remains a challenge in rehabilitation management. The Transtheoretical Model (TTM) views behavior change as a dynamic and stage-based process, providing a theoretical framework for health behavior interventions. Tai Chi, as a low-intensity mind-body exercise, has shown potential value in improving joint function and alleviating symptoms in RA patients. This paper systematically reviews the theoretical basis of TTM and its application in exercise interventions for RA patients, analyzes the research progress of Tai Chi in RA rehabilitation, and explores the feasibility and existing problems of Tai Chi interventions based on TTM, aiming to provide a theoretical basis for comprehensive rehabilitation management of RA.
