多模态话语分析视角下电影字幕的翻译分析——以《哪吒之魔童闹海》为例
An Analysis of Film Subtitle Translation from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis—A Case Study of Ne Zha: The Legend of the Sea
摘要: 当今跨文化影视传播日益频繁,电影字幕翻译已经从单纯的语言转换升级为多模态符号的协同重构。《哪吒之魔童闹海》以中国神话为内核,融合文化负载词、口语化表达、喜剧场景与情感冲突,具有鲜明的多模态特征,对于这部电影的字幕翻译要平衡好文化内涵的传递与模态协同适配。本文以多模态话语分析理论为支撑,采用案例分析法与对比分析法,从语言、语境、内容、表达四个层面出发,结合影片中英文字幕语料,探究多模态视角下字幕翻译的实现路径。本研究旨在揭示字幕与视觉、听觉、文化模态的协同配合,为同类传统文化题材动画电影的字幕翻译提供实践参考,助推中国文化通过影视载体有效对外传播。
Abstract: Nowadays, cross-cultural film and television communication has become increasingly frequent, and film subtitle translation has evolved from a mere linguistic conversion to the collaborative reconstruction of multimodal signs. Ne Zha: The Legend of the Sea, with Chinese mythology as its core, integrates culture-loaded words, colloquial expressions, comedic scenes and emotional conflicts, boasting distinct multimodal characteristics. Its subtitle translation requires a balance between the transmission of cultural connotations and multimodal collaborative adaptation. Supported by the theory of multimodal discourse analysis, this paper adopts case study and comparative analysis methods. Starting from the four dimensions of language, context, content and expression, and combining the Chinese-English subtitle corpus of the film, it explores the implementation path of subtitle translation from a multimodal perspective. This study aims to reveal the collaborative coordination between subtitles and visual, auditory, and cultural modalities, provide practical references for the subtitle translation of similar traditional cultural-themed animated films, and promote the effective international dissemination of Chinese culture through film and television carriers.
