Reconsideration of Grice’s Cooperative Principle

摘要: 格莱斯合作原则是格莱斯对语言学做出的最有影响的贡献。虽然它一直是语用学的中心话题，却是人们一直争议的主题。该理论内涵认为，人们沟通时有意无意地坚持他所说的合作原则(CP)，人们的沟通基于如下基本假设：人们在彼此交流的同时，正努力配合，以构建有意义的对话。由于主要术语“合作”不同于日常使用的“合作”概念，因此产生了不同的解释。为了彻底理解这个概念，本文将研究与格莱斯CP相关著作中的各种陈述，以深入诠释合作原则的内涵。
Abstract: Grice’s Cooperative Principle is the most influential contribution that Grice made to linguistics. Although it has been a central topic of pragmatics, it is a controversial topic. The theory’s connota-tion regards that when communicating, people intentionally or unintentionally insist what he called Cooperative Principle (CP). They communicate based on the following basic assumptions: people communicate with each other while trying to cooperate to build a meaningful dialogue. Since the main term “cooperation” is different from “cooperation” concept for its everyday use, different in-terpretations are generated. In order to thoroughly understand this concept, this paper will ex-amine various statements related to Grice’s CP to interpret its in-depth meaning.
