三维转换视角下博物馆解说词中文化负载词的英译研究——以湖北省博物馆为例

A Study on the English Translation of Culture-Loaded Words in Museum Commentary from a 3D Perspective—Taking Hubei Provincial Museum as an Example

摘要: 在文化全球化背景下，博物馆作为跨文化传播的重要载体，其解说词英译质量直接影响文化传播的效果。湖北省博物馆“极目楚天”陈列凝聚着湖北百万年历史文化精髓，其解说词中的文化负载词是地域文化的核心载体。本文以生态翻译学为理论框架，聚焦语言维、文化维、交际维的三维转换理论，以该陈列解说词的中英文文本作为语料，探讨文化负载词的英译策略。研究发现，通过语言形式的规范适配、文化内涵的适度阐释以及交际功能的精准传递，能实现译文与翻译生态环境的动态平衡，提升“整合适应选择度”。本研究一方面扩大了生态翻译学在地方博物馆文本英译中的应用，另一方面也为地域文化负载词的跨文化传播提供了可操作的参考。

Abstract: Under the context of cultural globalization, museums, as important carriers of cross-cultural communication, have their interpretation translations directly affecting the effectiveness of cultural dissemination. The Hubei Provincial Museum’s exhibition “A Panorama of Chu” encapsulates the essence of Hubei’s million-year-old historical culture, and the culture-loaded words in its interpretation are the core carriers of regional culture. This paper, based on the theoretical framework of eco-translatology, focuses on the three-dimensional translation theory of linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions, using the Chinese and English texts of the exhibition interpretation as corpus to explore strategies for translating culture-loaded words. The study finds that through standard adaptation of linguistic forms, appropriate explanation of cultural connotations, and precise conveyance of communicative functions, a dynamic balance between the translation and its ecological environment can be achieved, improving the degree of integrated adaptation. This research not only expands the application of eco-translatology in the English translation of local museum texts but also provides practical reference for the cross-cultural dissemination of regional culture-loaded words.
