Abstract: Objective: To investigate the current status of attachment relationships and the needs for music experience activities among women in the second trimester of pregnancy, providing a basis for developing scientifically feasible and practical music experience programs for couples during this period. Methods: Semi-structured interviews were conducted from September to October 2025, with 10 women aged 20~28 weeks in the obstetrics department of a tertiary hospital in Chongqing as study subjects. Colaizzi’s 7-step analysis method was employed to organize and analyze the interview data. Results: Two core themes and six secondary themes were identified. The current status of attachment relationships among mothers in the second trimester includes a profound and wondrous maternal-fetal emotional connection; limited and monotonous paternal-fetal interactions; and a deepening of couple relationships centered on the fetus. The needs for music experience encompass musical preferences and behaviors; core expectations for music experience; and suggestions for the format of music experience. Conclusion: Pregnant women have clear needs for music experience activities involving both partners. Future music experience programs should incorporate these needs by adopting flexible formats, rich content, and appropriate atmospheres to enhance the practicality and acceptability of the programs, thereby promoting attachment levels among women in the second trimester.
