利用多模态语篇培养高中英语“看”的技能策略
Strategies for Cultivating Senior High School Students’ “Viewing” Skills in English through Multimodal Discourse
摘要: “看”的技能作为新增的一项语言技能,对教师指导教学,提升课堂效率,发挥着极大作用。多模态语篇资源不仅有包含有传统文本文字,还包含各种视觉可视化资源,如各种图片、表格、视频、符号等,用以理解理解文本意义的信息资源。依托多模态语篇资源,以看的技能作为教学手段,更能符合学生学习的心理特点,以视觉感官,激活学生已知知识,培养学生学习的兴趣以及思维能力的提升。这也是新课标所大力提倡的。在高中英语课堂教学中,教师可以多模态的形式呈现文本信息,并多以这些作为课堂导入,设置问题进行教学。基于此,依托高中英语教材中,提供的视觉资源作为看技能的载体,教师提供教学支架,引导学生以“看”图片、视频为主;“看”汉字、色彩、字体为辅及利用思维导图、表格等可视化视觉资源等作为提升学生“看”的技能策略,从而培养学生核心素养和落实立德树人的根本任务。
Abstract: As a newly added language skill, the skill of viewing plays a crucial role in helping teachers guide instruction and improve classroom efficiency. Multimodal discourse resources not only contain traditional written text but also various visual resources such as pictures, tables, videos, symbols and other information resources used to understand textual meaning. Relying on multimodal discourse resources and taking viewing as a teaching method better conforms to students’ psychological characteristics in learning. It activates students’ prior knowledge through visual perception, stimulates their learning interest and enhances their thinking ability, which is also strongly advocated by the new curriculum standards. In senior high school English classroom teaching, teachers can present textual information in multimodal forms, use them for classroom introduction and design questions for instruction. On this basis, with visual resources provided in senior high school English textbooks as the carrier of viewing skills, teachers can offer instructional scaffolding to guide students to focus on viewing pictures and videos, supplemented by viewing Chinese characters, colors and fonts, and adopt visual resources such as mind maps and tables as strategies to improve students’ viewing skills. In this way, students’ core competencies can be cultivated and the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education can be implemented.
