现代汉语方言语气副词研究——以海安方言为例
A Study of Modal Adverbs in Modern Chinese Dialects: A Case Study of the Hai’an Dialect
Abstract: Dialects are living fossils of language. By taking into account factors such as regional culture and historical changes, the study of dialect evolution, existing phonetic forms and common combinatorial patterns not only provides a deeper understanding of the local customs and traditions of various regions, but also lays a solid foundation for the development of dialectology and helps to refine the regional characteristics of local dialects. The Hai’an dialect belongs to the Tongtai sub-dialect (Tairu sub-group) of Jianghuai Mandarin, exhibiting the distinctive characteristic of “southern intonation with northern pronunciation”. Whilst it possesses a strong internal unity, current academic research on dialects with regional characteristics, and indeed on dialectal adverbs as a whole, remains a weak area. This paper selects frequently used modal adverbs from the Hai’an dialect and analyzes them from three perspectives: syntactic features, semantic analysis and syntactic distribution. It compares the semantic and grammatical differences between dialectal vocabulary and Mandarin, with the aim of expanding the scope of research on modal adverbs in the Hai’an dialect to some extent.
