《流浪地球2》汉英字幕中“数字生命” 话语的翻译与重构

Translation and Reconstruction of the “Digital Life” Discourse in the Chinese-to-English Subtitles of “The Wandering Earth II”

摘要: 文章以《流浪地球2》汉英字幕中“数字生命”相关表达为研究对象，结合叙事翻译理论与字幕翻译理论，考察英文字幕对技术伦理话语的跨语际重构。研究发现，“数字生命”并非单一科幻术语，而是由技术设定、生命伦理与亲情叙事共同构成的复合话语。英文字幕通过Digital Life Project、Digital Life supporters等译法，将“数字生命”建构为具有制度属性和公共争议色彩的未来方案；通过life、alive、dead、reality等关键词的重组，凸显数字存在、死亡边界与现实定义之间的伦理冲突；通过Daddy、hug me、complete life等亲情化表达，保留父女对话中的依恋、创伤与补偿意味。研究表明，科幻电影字幕翻译不仅承担信息传递功能，也参与技术概念、伦理价值和情感叙事的跨文化建构，对中国科幻影视的国际传播具有重要启示。

Abstract: This article examines the interlingual reconstruction of techno-ethical discourse in the Chinese-to-English subtitles of “The Wandering Earth II”, with a focus on expressions related to “digital life”. Drawing on narrative translation theory and subtitling theory, the study investigates how the English subtitles participate in the reconstruction of this core discourse. The findings show that “digital life” is not a single science-fiction term, but a complex discourse shaped by technological imagination, life ethics, and father-daughter affective narrative. Through renderings such as Digital Life Project and Digital Life supporters, the English subtitles construct “digital life” as an institutionalized and publicly contested future-oriented project. Through the reorganization of keywords such as life, alive, dead, and reality, they foreground the ethical tensions among digital existence, the boundary of death, and the definition of reality. Through affective expressions such as Daddy, hug me, and complete life, they preserve the attachment, trauma, and compensatory emotion embedded in the father-daughter dialogues. The study suggests that subtitling in science-fiction cinema does more than transmit narrative information; it also participates in the cross-cultural construction of technological concepts, ethical values, and affective narratives. This has important implications for the international dissemination of Chinese science-fiction films.
