Abstract: As an important branch of northern Chinese dialects, the Shandong dialect possesses a rich aesthetic of form, content, and emotion. From the perspective of formal beauty, the phonetic rhythm, erhua pronunciation, and use of affixes in the Shandong dialect reflect the harmony and phonetic beauty of the language; the beauty of content is demonstrated through the inheritance of ancient words and the reflection of Confucian culture, highlighting the historical depth and cultural accumulation of the dialect; emotional beauty is expressed through humour and a sense of intimacy, showcasing the dialect’s emotional appeal. By exploring these aspects, the article reveals the unique value of the Shandong dialect in linguistic aesthetics and provides new perspectives for the cultural inheritance and preservation of dialects.
