Abstract: Malevolent creativity refers to the creative capacity to deliberately harm others or society through original or unconventional methods. To investigate the relationship between social exclusion and malevolent creativity, as well as the roles of anger and aggression within this relationship, a questionnaire survey was conducted among 567 college students using the Social Exclusion Questionnaire for Undergraduates, the Trait Anger Scale, the Buss-Perry Aggression Questionnaire, and the Malevolent Creativity Behavior Scale. The results indicated significant positive correlations between all four variables: social exclusion, anger, aggression, and malevolent creativity and that anger and aggression played a chain mediating role in the relationship between social exclusion and malevolent creativity. In conclusion, social exclusion can predict individual malevolent creativity levels through the chain mediating pathway of anger and aggression.
