Abstract: Against the backdrop of the Healthy China strategy, bedtime procrastination, as a highly prevalent maladaptive sleep behavior, has severely compromised the physical and mental health of the population, thereby hindering the development of nationwide health. This study systematically examines the causes of bedtime procrastination from four dimensions: maladaptive pre-sleep activities, perceived stress, mobile phone dependence, and self-regulatory depletion along with psychological compensation mechanisms. Based on this analysis, intervention strategies for bedtime procrastination are proposed at both the individual behavioral and social environmental levels, aiming to provide theoretical support and practical references for correcting bedtime procrastination among the population, improving national sleep health, and advancing the construction of Healthy China.
