《寻梦环游记》中声音艺术对情节的叙事赋能

The Narrative Empowerment of Sound Art in Coco

摘要: 《寻梦环游记》以墨西哥亡灵节为文化基底，通过三重时空嵌套叙事传递“记忆与爱”的核心主题，其声音艺术是影片叙事成功的关键支撑。现有研究多聚焦主题曲的情感表达，却对于人声与音响的独立叙事价值及三者的协同功能关注点有所不足。本文构建“人声叙事力–音响叙事力–音乐叙事力”三维分析框架，系统探究影片声音艺术的叙事赋能机制：人声以对话叙事力推动情节转折；音响凭借空间塑造力实现现实与亡灵世界的听觉区隔；音乐则以核心曲目《Remember Me》贯穿“追梦–揭秘–和解”主线。三类声音元素相互协同，既深度参与情节推进与情感传递，又强化了“死亡不是终点，遗忘才是”的哲学内涵。

Abstract: Based on Mexico’s Day of the Dead as its cultural foundation, Coco adopts a narrative structure with three interwoven temporal-spatial dimensions to convey the core theme of “memory and love”. Its sound art constitutes the pivotal underpinning for the film’s narrative success. Existing scholarship predominantly centers on the emotional expression of its theme song, yet insufficient attention has been paid to the independent narrative value of human voice and sound effects, as well as the synergistic functions of the three sonic components. This paper establishes a three-dimensional analytical framework consisting of “narrative power of human voice, narrative power of sound effects, and narrative power of music” to systematically explore the narrative empowerment mechanism of the film’s sound art. Human voices drive plot shifts through dialogic narrative force; sound effects create an auditory divide between the living world and the Land of the Dead via spatial construction; music, represented by the signature track “Remember Me”, runs through the main storyline of “chasing dreams-uncovering secrets-achieving redemption”. The three categories of sonic elements interact synergistically. They not only deeply engage in plot progression and emotional conveyance but also reinforce the philosophical connotation that “death is not the end, forgetting is”.
