基于文本类型学视域下对旅游文本的探讨：以“巨人堤道”汉译为例

A Study of Tourism Texts from the Perspective of Text Typology: A Case Study of the Chinese Translation of “Giant’s Causeway”

摘要: 旅游文本作为一种集信息功能、表达功能与感染功能于一体的复合型文本，对翻译策略的选取提出了较高要求。本文以德国功能派学者赖斯提出的文本类型理论为框架，以北爱尔兰世界自然遗产景点“巨人堤道”(Giant’s Causeway)的景区介绍文本为语料，围绕旅游文本的功能属性展开探讨，分析其信息型、表达型与感染型三种文本功能的叠加特征，并结合具体译例，探讨直译、改译与增译三类翻译策略在旅游文本汉译中的适用条件与实践效果。研究发现，旅游文本具有显著的多功能叠加属性，单一翻译策略难以满足其复杂的跨文化传播需求。译者须在准确理解原文功能特征的基础上，灵活选取相应策略，以期在目标语环境中实现等效的信息传达、审美体验与行为感染效果。

Abstract: Tourism texts, as a complex genre integrating informative, expressive, and operative functions, pose considerable challenges for translation strategy selection. Drawing on the text typology proposed by German functionalist scholar Katharina Reiss, this paper analyzes the promotional text of Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Northern Ireland, examining its multi-functional characteristics and the overlapping of informative, expressive, and operative text types. Through the analysis of specific translation examples, the paper explores the applicability and effectiveness of three translation strategies—literal translation, adaptation, and amplification—in the Chinese translation of tourism texts. The findings suggest that tourism texts exhibit a remarkable multi-functional composite nature, and a single translation strategy proves insufficient to meet the complex demands of cross-cultural communication. Translators must flexibly select appropriate strategies based on a thorough understanding of the source text’s functional features, so as to achieve equivalent communicative effects in terms of information delivery, aesthetic experience, and behavioral persuasion in the target language context.
