Abstract: Civil Code of the People’s Republic of China recognizes data as an object of civil rights, providing a legal basis for data rights confirmation. As data has become a key production factor, the current legal protection system for data property rights remains inadequate, making it difficult to define data ownership and leading to disputes. It is necessary to establish a comprehensive legal framework for protecting data property rights, balancing information security with data-related economic interests, promoting stable economic development and a thriving data market, and thus driving innovation in the digital economy.
