生态翻译学三维转换视角下双碳术语英译研究

A Study on the English Translation of Dual-Carbon Terms from the Perspective of Three-Dimensional Transformations in Eco-Translatology

摘要: 随着全球气候治理进程的推进，“双碳”(碳达峰、碳中和)相关术语在国际交流中的使用日益频繁。这些术语的英译质量直接影响相关概念的国际传播效果。本文以生态翻译学三维转换理论为框架，从公开的双语语料中选取典型双碳术语作为研究对象。通过案例分析，文章揭示了译者在语言维、文化维、交际维的具体转换策略：语言维主要处理中英句法结构差异；文化维不仅涉及本土表述的跨语际转化，还涵盖制度语境与思维方式的深层调适；交际维聚焦术语内涵的准确传递。研究发现，在双碳术语英译中，三维转换呈现出一定的优先序。本研究旨在为生态话语的术语翻译提供实践参考。

Abstract: As global climate governance advances, terms related to “carbon peaking and carbon neutrality” (dual carbon) are increasingly used in international communication. The quality of their English translation directly affects the international dissemination of relevant concepts. Using the Three-Dimensional Transformation framework of Eco-Translatology, this study selects typical dual-carbon terms from publicly available bilingual corpora as research subjects. Through case analysis, the paper reveals translators’ specific strategies across the linguistic, cultural, and communicative dimensions. On the linguistic dimension, the focus is on addressing syntactic differences between Chinese and English. On the cultural dimension, the analysis extends beyond the transfer of locally specific expressions to include deeper adjustments in institutional contexts and cognitive patterns. The communicative dimension centers on the accurate conveyance of terminological connotations. The findings indicate a certain prioritization among the three dimensions in the English translation of dual-carbon terms. This study aims to provide practical references for the terminology translation of ecological discourse.
