Inheritance and Dissemination of Dialects in the New Era
Abstract: As a vital component of Chinese civilization and a precious linguistic resource, dialects are facing severe survival challenges amid the accelerated process of urbanization and globalization. From the interdisciplinary perspective of linguistic ecology and cultural communication studies, this paper systematically expounds the multiple values of dialects in cultural inheritance, emotional connection, and disciplinary research, and reveals the practical dilemmas and underlying causes of the decline of dialects in the new era. The study proposes the construction of a multi-dimensional and collaborative protection framework covering “policy-technology-industry-media-application”. Through socialized cognition, digital archiving, creative integration, media-based dissemination, and scenario-based inheritance, it aims to promote the transformation of dialects from marginalized traditional culture to modern cultural symbols. Ultimately, this approach seeks to build a harmonious and symbiotic modern linguistic ecosystem, providing a practical model for the inheritance and dissemination of local cultures in the global context.
