译者行为批评视域下动画电影双关语翻译评析——以《疯狂动物城》中双关语汉译为例

An Analysis of Pun Translation in Animated Films from the Perspective of Translator Behavior Criticism—Taking the Chinese Translation of Puns in Zootopia as an Example

摘要: 电影中的双关语是一种精妙的语言艺术，通过同音异义词、一词多义、俚语改编等构建双关，在有限的对白中创造出多层含义，从而增强电影的深度、幽默或隐喻性。动画电影因其受众广泛、表现形式高度自由以及语言风格常更夸张等特点，双关语更加多样。电影双关语翻译，其核心难点在于，双关的精髓在于一个语言形式音或形承载两个或以上的意义，而世界上没有两种语言在音、形、义上完全对应，因此，译者必须在多重相互冲突的目标之间做出取舍与权衡。本文以周领顺提出的“求真–务实”译者行为连续统评价模式为理论框架，选取2016年上映的迪士尼动画电影《疯狂动物城》中的双关语作为分析对象，对国内流媒体平台哔哩哔哩动画与爱奇艺所提供的中文译制版本进行评析。

Abstract: Puns in films represent a sophisticated linguistic art, constructing wordplay through homophones, polysemy, and adapted slang to generate multiple layers of meaning within limited dialogue, thereby enhancing the depth, humor, or metaphorical quality of a film. Animated films, with their broad audience reach, highly flexible forms of expression, and often more exaggerated linguistic styles, feature an even greater variety of puns. The core difficulty in translating puns in films lies in the essence of a pun, where a single linguistic form carries two or more meanings through sound or script. No two languages in the world correspond perfectly in sound, form, and meaning. Thus, translators must make choices and trade-offs among multiple conflicting objectives. Based on “Truth-seeking-Utility-attaining” Continuum Mode of Evaluation of the Translator Behavior Criticism theory of Professor Zhou Lingshun, this paper analyzes the Chinese translations of puns in the 2016 Disney animated film Zootopia on the streaming platforms Bilibili and iQiyi.
