顺应论视域下《寻梦环游记》字幕翻译的文化维度研究

A Cultural-Dimensional Study of Subtitle Translation in Coco from the Perspective of Adaptation Theory

摘要: 近年来，随着外文电影大量进入中国市场，影视字幕翻译研究日益受到学界关注。动画电影《寻梦环游记》富含墨西哥亡灵节文化元素，其官方中文字幕的翻译质量直接影响中国观众的跨文化理解。本文以Verschueren的语言顺应论为核心框架，融合巴斯奈特的文化翻译观及韦努蒂的归化与异化策略，从语言语境顺应、文化语境顺应和情景语境顺应三个维度，对影片官方中文字幕进行案例分析。研究发现，译者在字幕翻译过程中实现了语言、文化、情景等多层面的动态顺应。本研究为理解优秀动画电影字幕翻译在跨文化语境中实现动态顺应的内在机制提供了新的视角，以期为同类翻译实践提供参考。

Abstract: In recent years, as a large number of foreign-language films have entered the Chinese market, research on audiovisual subtitle translation has garnered increasing attention from academic circles. The animated film Coco abounds with cultural elements concerning Mexico’s Day of the Dead, and the translation quality of its official Chinese subtitles exerts a direct influence on Chinese audiences’ cross-cultural comprehension. Taking Verschueren’s Linguistic Adaptation Theory as the core analytical framework, this paper incorporates Bassnett’s view of cultural translation and Venuti’s domestication and foreignization strategies to conduct a case study on the film’s official Chinese subtitles from three dimensions: linguistic contextual adaptation, cultural contextual adaptation and situational contextual adaptation. The study finds that the translator achieves multi-layered dynamic adaptation at linguistic, cultural and situational levels in the process of subtitle translation. This study offers a new perspective for understanding the internal mechanism of dynamic adaptation embodied in high-quality subtitle translation of animated films within cross-cultural contexts, and hopes to provide references for comparable translation practices.
