Abstract: Breast cancer is one of the most common malignant tumors in women, accounting for about one-third of all female malignant new cases. Radical surgery is the core treatment, but the treatment process is often accompanied by the destruction of the lymphatic vessel structure, resulting in the obstruction of the lymphatic reflux of the affected upper limb, which in turn induces breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL). This article systematically reviews the occurrence mechanism, risk factors and evidence-based treatment progress of breast cancer-related lymphedema (BCRL), in order to provide an operable path and basis for clinical early screening, early prevention and early treatment.
