Multidimensional Analysis of the Emerging Polarity Degree Construction “X Cried”

摘要: “X哭了”是近年来在网络时代下所催生的新兴极性程度构式，其产生理据、组合机制以及语用功能都有其特殊性。本文基于构式语法的研究理论，通过检索BCC语料库和CCL语料库，从共时和历时两个层面分析了“X”的词性以及“哭”的语法化历程。“X哭了”通过隐喻机制，在模因论、结构扩散理论和语言经济原则的影响下，形成了与传统义不同的极性程度义，同时基于言说者的主观评价立场和审美立场，带有褒贬色彩，具有鲜明的主观评价功能。

Abstract: “X cried” is an emerging polarity degree construction that has emerged in the network era in recent years. Its motivation, combination mechanism, and pragmatic function all have their own uniqueness. Based on the research theory of construction grammar, this paper analyzes the part of speech of “X” and the grammaticalization process of “cry” from both synchronic and diachronic perspectives by searching the BCC and CCL corpora. Through the mechanism of metaphor, under the influence of memetics, structural diffusion theory, and the principle of language economy, “X cried” forms a polarity degree meaning different from the traditional meaning. At the same time, based on the speaker’s subjective evaluation and aesthetic stance, it carries a commendatory or derogatory tone and has a distinct subjective evaluation function.
