高WHR (OR = 1.431, 95% CI 1.085~1.888)、高BAI (OR = 1.479, 95% CI 1.081~2.024)、高ABSI (OR = 2.022, 95% CI 1.114~3.67)是危险因素,高CI (OR = 0.542, 95% CI 0.288~1.02)是老年人认知功能的保护因素。
Abstract: Objective: To explore the relationship between different obesity indicators and cognitive function in older adults. Methods: This study utilized the 2018 follow-up survey data from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS). Data screening and statistical analysis were performed using SPSS 27.0. Results: A total of 4,438 older adults were included, among whom 1,547 cases of cognitive impairment were identified, with a detection rate of 34.86%. Binary logistic regression results showed that, after adjusting for confounding variables, WHR, BAI, CI, and ABSI among anthropometric indicators were influencing factors for the occurrence of cognitive impairment in older adults (P < 0.05). High WHR (OR = 1.431, 95% CI 1.085~1.888), high BAI (OR = 1.479, 95% CI 1.081~2.024), and high ABSI (OR = 2.022, 95% CI 1.114~3.670) were risk factors, while high CI (OR = 0.542, 95% CI 0.288~1.020) was a protective factor for cognitive function in older adults. Conclusion: WHR, BAI, CI, and ABSI levels are associated with the occurrence of cognitive impairment in older adults and can serve as anthropometric indicators for predicting cognitive impairment in this population.
