局部语法视角下中国学者与英语本族语学者文献综述言据性的对比研究
A Local Grammar Analysis of Evidentiality in Literature Reviews: A Comparison between Chinese and Native English-Speaking Scholars
摘要: 言据性(evidentiality)指作者对信息来源及其可靠程度的说明，是重要的学术话语行为。既有研究多从语用学或修辞学视角展开，对其词汇–语法实现机制关注相对不足。本文采用局部语法分析路径，以报道动词为切入点，基于自建的中国学者(CSLR)与英语本族语学者(NSLR)应用语言学文献综述语料库，对比分析两组学者言据性资源的语义分布及局部语法型式。结果表明：CSLR呈现高事实性、高中立性、低批判性的语义特征，NSLR则在认知行为动词与批判性评价资源的使用上更为多样。两组语料均形成六种稳定的言据表述型式，且均以“报道者–报道言据–链接–报道信息–情境”为最高频型式；然而，NSLR多采用兼具链接与情境功能成分的复合型式，而CSLR则更多使用功能成分相对简单的型式。整体而言，两组学者在言据资源配置与型式复杂度上差异性大于共性。研究拓展了言据性描写路径，对学术英语写作教学及学术话语分析具有启示意义。
Abstract: Evidentiality plays a central role in academic discourse by signaling information source and reliability. Previous studies have mainly examined it from pragmatic and rhetorical perspectives, with less attention to its lexico-grammatical realization. Focusing on reporting verbs, this study adopts a local grammar approach to examine evidential resources in two self-compiled corpora of applied linguistics literature reviews: one written by Chinese scholars (CSLR) and the other by native English-speaking scholars (NSLR). It compares the semantic distribution and local grammar patterns of these resources. The findings show that CSLR uses more factive and neutral resources but fewer critical ones, whereas NSLR draws on a wider range of cognitive and evaluative resources. Both corpora share six evidential patterns, with “Reporter-Reporting Verb-Hinge-Reported Information-Circumstance” as the dominant pattern. However, NSLR shows a stronger preference for structurally complex patterns, while CSLR favors more condensed forms. Overall, the two groups differ more than they converge in evidential resource use and pattern complexity. These findings extend local grammar research on evidentiality and contribute to the study of academic discourse and writing.
