Comparison of Oliceridine and Sufentanil Combined with Propofol for Painless Gastrointestinal Endoscopy
Abstract: Objective: To compare the anesthetic efficacy and safety of two opioids combined with propofol for painless gastrointestinal endoscopy. Methods: A total of 100 patients scheduled for elective painless gastrointestinal endoscopy were randomly divided into group O and group S, with 50 patients in each group. Baseline demographic data were collected. Heart rate (HR), mean arterial pressure (MAP) and pulse oxygen saturation (SpO2) were monitored at different time points. The anesthesia onset time, recovery time and total consumption of propofol were recorded. The incidence of various intraoperative adverse events was statistically analyzed. Results: There were no significant between-group differences in age, gender, body mass index, ASA physical status classification and preoperative vital signs (P > 0.05). At the completion of anesthesia induction and immediately after gastroscope insertion, group O exhibited lower HR and higher SpO2 than group S (P < 0.05). No intergroup difference in MAP was observed at any time point (P > 0.05). The anesthesia onset time in group O was significantly shorter than that in group S (P < 0.001). Recovery time and total propofol dosage were comparable between the two groups (P > 0.05). The incidence of subclinical hypoxemia was lower in group O (P < 0.05). No significant differences were found in the incidences of cough, body movement, hypotension and bradycardia between the two groups (P > 0.05). Conclusion: This anesthetic regimen achieves faster sedation onset, better intraoperative oxygenation maintenance and reduces the risk of subclinical hypoxemia, conferring superior safety during painless gastrointestinal endoscopy.
