Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) has driven the shift in medical decision-making toward human-AI collaboration, yet misdiagnoses frequently trigger dilemmas in responsibility attribution and crises of trust. Integrating perspectives from social psychology and human-computer interaction, this paper reveals that due to AI’s lack of moral agency, responsibility attribution shifts toward human physicians driven by defensive psychology, forcing them to serve as “moral crumple zones”. Regarding trust repair, single technical explanations can only amend competence-based trust violations, whereas the empathetic intervention of human physicians is central to repairing integrity- or benevolence-based violations and achieving emotional compensation. Consequently, this paper constructs a dynamic framework for trust repair—“mind perception-attribution reconstruction-emotional compensation”—aiming to provide theoretical foundations and practical implications for refining medical ethical frameworks and optimizing clinical human-AI interactions.
