杂合理论视角下《伤寒论》罗希文英译本的跨文化协商研究——基于语言与文化层面的分析

A Study on Cross-Cultural Negotiation in Luo Xiwen’s English Translation of Shang Han Lun from the Perspective of Hybridity Theory—An Analysis Based on Linguistic and Cultural Dimensions

摘要: 本研究以霍米·巴巴杂合理论为基础，并结合权力话语视角，从语言与文化层面分析罗希文《伤寒论》英译本。研究发现，译本在句式重构、逻辑显性化、音译保留与注释补偿等策略中，既试图借助英语医学话语的规范提升可读性，又通过“模拟”造成的差异和译者的矛盾状态保留中医认知逻辑。译本由此在英语医学话语中形成“第三空间”，但这一空间并非两种知识的简单叠加，而是在话语规范压力下进行协商的结果。译文中的差异痕迹虽不可消除，却可能成为中医文化身份的标识，并为跨文化对话提供文本基础；其实际传播效果仍有待接受研究进一步验证。

Abstract: Drawing on Homi K. Bhabha’s theory of hybridity and the perspective of power discourse, this study analyzes Luo Xiwen’s English translation of Shang Han Lun at linguistic and cultural levels. The findings suggest that, through syntactic restructuring, logical explicitation, transliteration retention, and annotation compensation, the translation seeks to enhance readability within English medical discourse while retaining TCM cognitive logic through the differences produced by “mimicry” and the translator’s ambivalence. The “third space” thus formed is not a simple overlap of two knowledge systems, but a negotiated outcome under the pressure of discourse norms. Although traces of difference cannot be eliminated, they may function as markers of TCM cultural identity and provide a textual basis for cross-cultural dialogue; the actual reception of the translation still requires further empirical verification.
