摘要: 航海典籍是呈现中国古代海洋文明与科技发展的重要载体，书中大量引用的古文涉及古代船舶术语与海洋政策，兼具语言特色与文化内涵，构成典籍翻译研究的核心议题。其英译质量直接影响我国海洋文化与传统科技对外传播的效果。本文以《中国古代海洋船舶》一书中的古文引语为研究对象，通过分类考察不同类型引语的特征，系统探讨航海类古籍中古文引语的英译策略，旨在为中国古代科技典籍的跨文化传播提供可资借鉴的翻译方法与实践路径。本研究对于推进中国传统海洋文化的国际传播、助力“海上丝绸之路”历史资源的现代阐释与转化具有积极意义。

Abstract: Chinese maritime classics serve as vital records of the nation’s maritime civilization and technological advancements. These classics quote classical Chinese quotations, including ancient ship terminology and maritime policies. Characterized by both unique linguistic features and rich cultural connotations, these quotations constitute a core issue in translation. The quality of their English translation plays a crucial role in the international dissemination of China’s maritime culture and traditional technology. This study examines the classical Chinese quotations in Ancient Chinese Sea-Going Vessels, analyzing their typological features and exploring corresponding translation strategies. It aims to provide methodological insights and practical approaches for translating classical quotations in Chinese maritime texts and contribute to the cross-cultural communication of China’s ancient scientific and technological heritage. The research also holds positive value for promoting traditional Chinese maritime culture globally and supporting the modern reinterpretation and transformation of historical resources related to the “Maritime Silk Road”.
