The Effect of Estradiol E2 on the Proliferation of Breast Cancer by Regulating PEDF Expression
Abstract: Objective: To investigate the molecular mechanism of estradiol E2 to promote the proliferation of breast cancer by regulating the expression PEDF. Methods: Serum PEDF level was detected by ELISA kit and estradiol E2 level was detected by radioimmunoassay; the effect of estradiol on the PEDF regulation was detected by Western blot; the proliferation of breast cancer cell line MCF-7 was detected by MTT assay. Results: The expression of PEDF was down regulated in breast cancer, and negatively correlated with estradiol E2 level. Estradiol E2 can reduce the expression of PEDF and promote the proliferation of breast cancer cell MCF-7. Conclusion: Estradiol E2 can promote the proliferation of breast cancer by regulating the expression of PEDF.
