国际与区域研究人才培养与机构建设:通往能力之路
Talent Training and Institution Building in International and Area Studies: The Path to Capacity
摘要:
改革开放40年,中国取得了丰硕成果,中国崛起催生了整个社会对国际研究、区域研究相关知识的巨大需求。未来几十年里,这方面的知识需求也将随着中国的持续稳健发展而持续增加。与此同时,各方面知识生产部门对知识的供给,尤其是社会科学知识的供给,又会助力中国崛起更加强劲。因此,国际研究、区域研究方面知识的生产和再生产就成了中国崛起进程中的重要一环。中国的知识生产社区,诸如大学、研究机构、智库等应当在未来几十年中担负起有效提供国际研究、区域研究知识供给职责等重担,并做好为政府部门、企业和其他组织提供优质人力资源的工作。本文以北美的社会科学博士培养模式为主要参考对象,讨论我国高校的国际、区域研究领域的博士培养,在国家和社会对这一领域有持续增长的知识需求的时代背景下,有可能采取的改革方案和改正方向。
Abstract:
China’s rise prompts a large amount of knowledge acquirement of international and area studies. In the next few decades, this acquirement will only increase. The supply of various kinds of knowledge, especially social science, would enhance the rising of China as well. Therefore, the knowledge producing of international and area studies becomes a significant part on the process of China’s rise. China’s knowledge producing community, i.e. universities, research institutions and think tanks should take the responsibility of effectively providing the international and area studies knowledge in the next few decades, and prepare the required human capital for the working of government agencies, the business community, and other organizations. This article examines the social science Ph.D. model in North America, and shows the actions required in terms of capacity building in international and area studies in China.
