Abstract: With the increasing survival rate of cancer patients, they have higher requirements for their living quality. Chemotherapy treatment is the mainstay of tumour, but it induces ovarian damage. How to protect ovarian function during chemotherapy, protect fertility, prevent premature ovarian failure need to be solved urgently. GnRH-a has several advantages: it is widely available and inexpensive, and does not require ovarian stimulation or an invasive surgical procedure. However, the use of hormonal therapy to protect ovarian function from the effects of chemotherapy is the subject of many controversial debates and conflicting clinical reports with no clear consensus. The purpose of this review is to discuss the protective effect of GnRH analogues on ovarian function in chemotherapy of malignant tumors.
