Abstract: The self-assembly of AB diblock copolymers in soft a confinement is studied using a simulated annealing method. Simulations predicted a variety of morphologies such as core-shell-patchy structure, core-patchy structure, sandwich like structure, axially stacked lamellae ellipsoid, helix structure and so on. The morphologies arranged in sequence as a function of the volume fraction of block. The softness ensured by the ration of solvent-polymer interaction to incompatibility between blocks can affect both the overall shape and internal structure of copolymer aggregate via minimization of interfacial energy. These results may be useful to comprehensive understanding of the self-assembly of copolymers under soft confinement.
