Abstract: Through previous studies, people’s attitudes toward people with excellent characteristics are contradictory. As a hot topic in the field of psychology research, empathy has little research on the impact of excellent characteristics on empathy. Therefore, in order to explore the influence of excellent characteristics on the empathy response, the two-factor test was repeated to measure the degree of pain, and the subjects were scored from the perspective of themselves and others from the pain of others. Through the three experiments of progressive progress, we explored the influence of excellent characteristics on empathy, and also discussed the familiarity and preference bias based on excellent and familiar. Finally, the following conclusions can be drawn: 1) Compared with people who are not good, people may have a stronger feeling of affection for the better, and thus a stronger reaction of empathy; 2) Compared with excellent strangers, people are more likely to have an empathic response on the familiar; 3) Compared with the boresome and familiar ones, people are more likely to be empathic to the excellent people who are familiar and like; And compared with the familiar and good people who like it, people will have faster empathy for the boresome ones .
