The so-called coach leadership refers to the ability of the coach to influence the athletes in daily life and competition training, to help the athletes achieve their goals and to achieve the victory in the game. Researchers can use the “The Leadership Scale for Sports” “Coach Behavior Assessment System” and “Coach Capacity Scale” to assess coach leadership. According to the difference in leadership styles displayed during the interaction between coaches and athletes, coach leadership can be divided into Transformational leadership, Ethical leadership and Servant leadership, which will affect the performance of athletes in the team, ethical behavior and sports satisfaction. The future research can focus on exploring the internal mechanisms of different types coach’s leadership on athletic performance further.
