摘要:
目的:探索当前留守儿童家长对孩子教育的重视情况及其对于留守儿童的成长的影响。方法:采用深度访谈法,访谈对象为江西省乐安县的8个留守儿童家庭的孩子与主要抚养人、3位当地社工人员及1位学校教师,关注问题为家长对孩子受教育的期待状况。结果:留守儿童家长普遍重视孩子的教育,但难以采取有效的方式管教孩子的学业,且教养责任意识缺位,并对学校教师对孩子的教养责任存在不合理的期待。结论:留守儿童家长对教育的态度和模式可能不利于孩子的成长。
Abstract:
Purposes: Aiming to investigate the degree to which parents of left-behind children put emphasis on their children’s education and its corresponding effects on the growth of left-behind children. Methods: Adopting in-depth interview, a sample comprising children and their primary attenders from 8 families of left-behind children, 3 local social workers and 1 school teacher in Le’an County, Jiangxi Province was used to reveal local parents’ expectations of their children’s education. Results: While the left-behind children’s parents attached universal significance to education, they failed to take the responsibility of educating children and disciplining their children ineffectively. Meanwhile, they have unrealistically high expectations of teachers’ role. Conclusions: Left-behind children’s parents’ irrational emphasis on education, which attributes most liability to teachers, is detrimental to the children’s growth.
