区域文化渗透观对商务英语教学指导的构想
Integrating Cultural Learning in Teaching Business English

本文介绍了如何在商务英语教学中实施整合方法的应用。这种整合概括了如何将文化的概念应用于商务英语课程的教学框架。本文以无锡太湖学院外国语学院商务英语专业为例，综述了文化与语言的关系。即将区域文化特色渗入到具体教学中，在商务英语教学中插入了对学生文化意识和能力的培养，还讨论了将教学中的语言学习和文化学习时段重新分配的可能性和必要性。在文章的最后简要总结了语言教学、地域文化和交际技能相互融合的教学模型，作为EBP环境缺失的替代性方案。
Abstract:
This paper describes the application of an integrated approach to teaching Business English. Such an integration summarizes how aspects of culture have been applied to the framework of a Business English Degree programme in Wuxi Taihu University. After an overview of the relations between culture and language, and between regional cultural features in Wuxi and specific practical approaches have been used to insert cultural awareness and competence in Business English education in the University, this paper also discusses the possibilities and necessities of the requirement of the reallocation of instructional hours from language learning towards cultural-based learning. The paper then briefly summarizes a fully integrated model of teaching language, regional culture, and communicative skills as a more viable alternative in the EBP contexts.
