Abstract: In order to prevent the adverse effects of rice bacterial blight, the worldwide bacterial disease on rice breeding, the exploitation of different disease resistance genes in rice plays a vital role in the genetic breeding. Xanthomonas campestris pv. Oryzae (Xoo) has also evolved in response to this pressure. Therefore, studying the pathogenic mechanism of Xoo is also important for the control of rice blight. This article summarizes the infection pathways and molecular mechanisms of Xoo, which can provide reference for other researches on the control of Xoo.
