章学诚《湖北通志》叙战篇章与《左传》之关系

The Relationship between Zhang Xuecheng’s Description about War in Hubei Tongzhi and Zuo Zhuan

摘要: 章学诚推崇《左传》，不仅体现在他的史学与文学理论方面，同样体现在他的史书编撰理论与实践中。现存《湖北通志》的编撰理念与其中的战争场面描写集中体现出章氏的上述思想。由于这些理念与当时的清王朝思想文化政策、史志编撰风尚相悖，导致章氏所编诸史志或散佚，或遭篡改。这从侧面证明章学诚推崇《左传》所产生的现实价值。

Abstract: Zhang Xuecheng’s praise of Zuozhuan is not only reflected in his historiography and literary theory, but also in his theory and practice of compiling historical books. The compilation idea of Hubei Tongzhi and the description of the war scenes reflect Zhang’s above thoughts. Because these ideas were contrary to the ideological and cultural policies of the Qing Dynasty and the trend of compiling historical records at that time, the historical records compiled by Zhang were either lost or tampered with. This proves the practical value of Zhang Xuecheng’s praising Zuo Zhuan.
