Abstract: To examine the effect of growth mindset on self-acceptance of adolescents and find out the role of family socioeconomic status in the present study, 2357 (mean age 17.12 ± 2.52, male accounts for 42.2%) secondary vocational school students were investigated by Growth Mindset Scale, Self-acceptance Inventory and Family Socioeconomic Status Questionnaire. The results showed that: 1) The growth mindset of adolescents had a significant effect on self-acceptance; 2) Annual household income played a moderating role in the relationship between growth mindset and self-acceptance, and with the increase of annual household income, the predictive effect of growth mindset on self-acceptance is diminishing. With this clarification, for adolescents with low annual household income, a higher level of growth mindset can increase the level of self-acceptance.
