Abstract: Funeral custom is an important social custom culture. Every nationality has its own funeral customs in the world. Different natural conditions in Chinese and Western society and living style of Chinese and Western nationality have created diverse funeral culture. This paper will make a deep comparative analysis of Chinese and Western funeral customs in order to help people understand the cultural differences from a rational, objective and scientific perspective, and then help people better understand the connotation of Chinese and Western national culture.
