模因论视域下的河西五市人文景观公示语英译策略研究

A Study on C-E Translation Strategy of Linguistic Landscape in Hexi Area from the Perspective of Memetics

摘要: 在模因论的视域下，本文分析了河西五市人文景观公示语汉英翻译中存在的不同错误类型，从模因论的角度提出相应的公示语英译策略：复制目的语模因内容、套用目的语模因结构、复制源语模因读音、翻译源语核心模因、创译源语模因、语言模因结合图片模因，以期改善河西五市人文景观的公示语翻译状况。

Abstract: Based on the analysis of several proper examples of Chinese-English translation of linguistic landscape in Hexi Area from the perspective of Memetics, the present author concludes the types of wrong translation and finds out that cloning the memes of the target language in content, adapting the expressions of the target language, cloning the memes of the source language in pronunciation, translating the core meme of the source language, transcreating the source language and combining language meme with picture meme are good ways to translate public signs. The purpose of this research is to offer some practical methods for linguistic landscape translation from the perspective of Memetics hence further improving the situation of translation in Hexi Area.
