Abstract: Tooth eruption is a highly complex physiological process, which is regulated by alveolar bone, dental follicle, and a variety of cells and factors. Dental follicle participates in the regulation of alveolar bone absorption and formation through a series of complex molecular mechanisms, which is a necessary condition for tooth eruption. In this paper, the role and mechanism of dental follicles in tooth eruption are reviewed. At present, the relationship between various molecular signaling pathways regulating tooth eruption is not clear and needs further study.
