美国州立大学学科发展及其启示
Discipline Development of American State University and Its Enlightenment
摘要: 美国州立大学自成立以来,始终注重学科的发展,正是凭借自身具备的学科发展特点与优势,美国部分州立大学最终迈入世界高水平大学之列。通过梳理美国州立大学学科发展演进历程,可以发现美国州立大学学科发展总体呈现出:学科发展坚持与时俱进、基础学科与应用学科共荣共生、着重发展优势特色学科、注重推进学科交叉融合等基本特征。美国州立大学学科发展之于我国地方高水平大学一流学科建设的启示是:立足区域发展、坚持学科协调发展、打造优势特色学科、促进学科交叉融合。
Abstract: Since the establishment of American state universities, they have always paid attention to the development of disciplines. It is precisely by virtue of their own discipline development characteristics and advantages that some state universities in the United States have finally become one of the world’s top universities. By combing the evolution process of discipline development in American state universities, it can be found that the discipline development of American state universities shows the following basic characteristics: discipline development adheres to keeping pace with the times, basic disciplines and applied disciplines coexist, focusing on the development of advantageous characteristic disciplines, and focusing on promoting interdisciplinary integration. The enlightenment of the discipline development of American state universities to the first-class discipline construction of local high-level universities in China is: Based on regional development, adhering to the coordinated development of disciplines, creating advantageous disciplines with characteristics, and promoting interdisciplinary integration.
