Abstract: Pituitary apoplexy is a clinical syndrome with a series of neuroendocrine symptoms caused by bleeding or infarction of pituitary adenomas, and it is divided into hemorrhagic pituitary apoplexy and ischemic pituitary apoplexy. The pathogenesis of pituitary apoplexy is complex and has not been fully elucidated at present. Because pituitary apoplexy is rare in clinic, if it can’t be diagnosed and treated early, it can lead to poor prognosis and increase complications and mortality for patient. In this article, we will combine with the literature at home and abroad to briefly analyze the progress of clinical diagnosis and treatment of pituitary apoplexy.
