Abstract: Gastric cancer (GC), as a disease with high molecular and phenotypic heterogeneity, is the third major cause of tumor-related death in humans and poses a serious threat to human life and health. However, there is still a lack of effective means of diagnosis and treatment for the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of GC. In recent years, research on cancer stem cell (CSC) has attracted much attention. As a common surface marker of cancer stem cell, CD24 is overexpressed in GC patient tissues, and is closely related to the occurrence and development of tumors. In this paper, the recent research progress of CD24 expression, mechanism and regulatory pathway in GC is reviewed, with a view to providing theoretical basis for secondary prevention of cancer.
