Abstract: Annexin A5 (Anx A5) is a member of the calcium-dependent phospholipid binding protein family, which is widely present in tissues and cells. Because of its unique structure, it participates in a variety of important functions inside and outside the cell, such as anticoagulant and pro-apoptosis. In recent years, a large of number studies have showed that the expression of Annexin A5 in the serum and placental tissues of pregnant women with idiopathic pregnancy-related diseases such as preeclampsia, fetal growth restriction has decreased, which is closely related to the occurrence and development of many diseases. The biological function of Annexin A5 and the relationship with various pregnancy-related diseases are analyzed and summarized, which provides new ideas for the prevention and treatment of perinatal-related diseases.
