Abstract: In order to better understand and appropriately apply “when the disease lies in muscle, the treatment aims at Fenrou” in “Suwen•Tiaojing Lun”, we analyzed the conception of Fenrou and find its connection with modern anatomy, and discussed Fenrou as the target of acupuncture treatment in skeletal muscle injury. Thus, regarding the Fenrou as the target of acupuncture treatment in skeletal muscle injury is the correct understanding and appropriate application of the phrase.
