Abstract: As the main force and new force of local economic development, the development of newly-built undergraduate colleges has always attracted much attention. Based on the theory of resource dependence, this paper analyzes the resource dependence of newly-built undergraduate colleges on local government and society resources. Through analysis, it is found that local government holds the main resources for the development of newly-built undergraduate colleges, which will inevitably have a certain influence on newly-built undergraduate colleges. In order to get rid of this influence, the transformation and development of newly-built undergraduate colleges are their rational demand. The transformation and development can be realized by deepening the cooperation between colleges and places, improving the internal governance system, realizing the connotative development path, and building a multi-resource interactive environment.
