文化“走出去”视域下京剧文化负载词英译研究

English Translation Study of Cultural-Loaded Words in Beijing Opera from the Perspective of Chinese Culture Going Out

摘要: 京剧文化负载词蕴含着大量中国特色文化，这增加了京剧翻译的难度，也影响着中国文化“走出去”的效果。本文通过“中国京剧百部经典英译系列”自建语料库，探究京剧文化负载词的翻译方法。研究发现，为达到传播中国文化和提高译本接受度的双重目的，翻译含熟语的文化负载词时，要充分考虑译入语受众的文化背景及认知习惯。翻译含隐喻的文化负载词时，需事先预测隐喻义在西方文化中是否空缺。在翻译含称谓语的文化负载词时，可以采取归化及意译的翻译策略、省译及音译加注释的翻译方法，以准确传达原唱本内容，在译入语受众中获得对等的效果。

Abstract: Traditional Chinese culture is implicated in cultural-loaded words in Beijing Opera, which in-crease the difficulty in translating and influence the effect of Chinese culture going out. Based on the self-built corpus of English Translation Series of a Hundred Peking Opera Classics, the translation methods of cultural-loaded words in Beijing Opera have been studied. The findings are as follow: in order to promote the spread of Chinese culture and the acceptance of the translation, the cultural background and cognitive habits should be in consideration when idiomatic language in cultural-loaded words is translated; whether there are the same metaphorical meanings in western culture or not should be predicted when metaphors are translated; and in order to accurately transfer the content of the opera and achieve equivalent effect of acceptance in western countries, translation strategies, such as naturalization and free translation, and translation methods, such as omission and transliteration with annotation, could be used when appellation in cultural-loaded words is translated.
