归化异化视角下的“豹”罗万象——以海豹命名的翻译为例
A Complete Understanding of Seals from the Perspective of Domestication and Foreignization—A Study Based on the Translation in Naming the Seals

摘要: 海豹作为极地生态环境中的关键部分之一，对极地生物圈的健康运转，乃至生物多样性都具有重要意义。本文以国际动物命名法委员会对全球13属、18种海豹的命名为切入点，分析海豹学名和俗名命名的释义缘由，在归化异化的视角下对海豹命名所体现的翻译策略、翻译方法以及翻译技巧进行分析研究。以期为相关学者翻译海洋动物和其他动物命名提供借鉴，提高人们对海洋生态和海洋动物的保护意识。
Abstract: As a critical link in the polar ecosystem, seals are of great significance to the effective operation of the polar biosphere and protection of biodiversity. This paper analyses the naming of eighteen species of seals in thirteen genera around the world named by the International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature (ICZN) and the translation of the names of seals, and studies the translation strategies, methods and skills in naming the seals from the perspective of domestication and foreignization. It provides references for translating animal names in marine and other fields, and raises public awareness about the protection of marine ecology and animals to preserve the biodiversity in polar areas.
